FormPost as a Web3Forms alternative
Web3Forms is popular because its free plan is generous and you can get started quickly. People looking for an alternative usually want to know where their data is processed. Here's how the two differ – including where Web3Forms is ahead.
In short
For free, Web3Forms gives you considerably more: 250 submissions a month, unlimited forms and a custom thank-you page. FormPost does less, but processes submissions only in Germany and locks every form to your domain even on the free plan.
If the size of the free plan is what matters most to you, Web3Forms is the better choice.
The differences at a glance

Where Web3Forms is the better fit
- You need more than one form or more than ten notifications a day for free.
- You want to submit forms with JavaScript, without a page change. FormPost can't do that.
- Your visitors should land on your own thank-you page after submitting. With FormPost they see our confirmation page, with your text on Pro.
- You need file uploads, auto-replies or integrations with Google Sheets, Slack and similar services.
Where FormPost is different
- Submissions are stored on servers in Germany. Neither we nor our service providers transfer data to countries outside the EU – the spam check runs on our own servers too.
- You conclude the data processing agreement in your account on every plan, including the free one.
- On Pro and Business, submissions can be encrypted so that only you can read them – not even we can.
- Every form is locked to your domain even on the free plan. At Web3Forms, restricting a form to certain domains is only available from Pro.
- Submissions stay stored and visible in your dashboard until you delete them – on the free plan too.
Switching from Web3Forms
Replace the address in the action attribute with that of your FormPost form and remove the access_key field. The hidden spam field is called _gotcha at FormPost instead of botcheck.
We don't evaluate a redirect field. Remove it, otherwise it shows up as an ordinary field in the notification.
<form action="https://www.formpost.eu/f/abc123" method="POST">

<input type="email" id="email" name="email" required>
<label for="message">Message</label>
<textarea id="message" name="message" required></textarea>
<input type="text" name="_gotcha" style="display:none;" tabindex="-1" autocomplete="off">
